Michael M. Mullen is the CEO and Co-Founder of CenterPoint Properties. CenterPoint is the largest owner/developer of industrial real estate in the metropolitan Chicago area. The company owns, leases and manages approximately 47 million square feet of facilities. Additionally, CenterPoint owns or controls nearly 6000 acres of property for future development. CenterPoint Properties was a publicly traded NYSE listed company for approximately 12 years. During that period it delivered an average annual return to its shareholders of 23% per year compounded. CenterPoint was acquired in March of 2006 by CalPERS and LaSalle Investment Management. Mr. Mullen was the 2007 Chairman of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
