Daniel J. Hemmer
General Counsel & Secretary
Daniel J. Hemmer became General Counsel & Secretary in November 2004. Mr. Hemmer plans and directs all aspects of the Company's legal affairs. He provides advice and guidance to the Board of Trustees and management on a wide range of legal issues, oversees the engagement of outside counsel, and is responsible for establishing and monitoring policies to ensure the Company complies with law. Mr. Hemmer has been with CenterPoint since March 2003, when he joined as Vice President & Associate General Counsel. Prior to CenterPoint, Mr. Hemmer was employed for five years as in-house counsel to a private family office and investment company in Chicago, IL and practiced law for two years as a corporate associate in Grand Rapids, Michigan at Warner Norcross & Judd. Mr. Hemmer is a graduate of the Harvard Law School and the Kennedy School of Government, and holds a bachelors degree from the University of Michigan.
